Business Computing BSc

This interdisciplinary degree combines the range of Information Technologies, (electronic offices and databases, programming, and the internet), with the fundamental areas of Business (management marketing, accounting economics, law and finance). Graduates will possess the knowledge and skills required to comprehend business functions and analyze the needs of users in order to design and implement information systems.

Through a mixture of theory and hands-on experience You’ll gain the ability to intuitively determine a dynamic combination of processes that enable information delivery systems to fulfil their roles within an organisation. Additionally, you will learn to recognise that an organisation is is constantly changing and evolving and how the systems for information of that company must adapt to these changes and new demands and requirements from users.

You will develop your IT and computing skills in your second year with workshops and projects. You’ll learn from our academics and take part in an internship where you will put your new skills into practice.

Our teaching methodology is built on the most recent technological advances, and we concentrate on the use of new technologies in business. You can choose from a range of modules including Big Data Analytics and Informatics Strategy and Management, as in e-Business Technology.
